How Are Properties Advertised?

Properties are advertised each week on this website. They are also advertised through digital television, on the looking local channel, through public access computers and in the Home Options newsletter that is available in a variety of locations.

Properties appear on this website and digital television at midnight on Wednesday, and are available for bidding until midnight on the following Wednesday.

Please click here for a description of the symbols that are shown in the advertised properties.

Adverts tell you the landlord, location, size, rent and other features of the property to help you decide which properties are right for you.

The advert also tells you if there are any qualifying criteria that the applicant must meet, such as a minimum age requirement.

Bidding for a Property

You can bid for up to 2 properties each week in each of the council areas with which you are registered. You can bid in any of the following ways:
